Fresh Express is a premium seafood service operated by Glycem Food Products.

At Fresh Express, our priority is speed. Because we deal with “Day Catch” seafood, our logistics are designed to get the fish from the Nagapattinam harbor to your kitchen in the shortest time possible.

1. Delivery Areas

Currently, we serve Thanjavur city and its immediate suburbs. We operate through a network of Express Pickup Points to ensure the cold chain is never broken.

2. The “Freshness Timeline”

  • Ordering Cut-off: Orders placed before 8:00 PM will be delivered the following morning.
  • Sourcing: At 4:00 AM, your fish is picked from the boats at Nagapattinam Harbor.
  • Delivery Window: Deliveries to Pickup Points typically happen between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM daily.
  • Delivery Time: Orders will be taken 8:00 PM to next day 8:00 PM, Orders will be delivered within 14 Hrs to 38 Hrs.

3. Express Pickup Points

To maintain the lowest prices and highest freshness, we do not follow a traditional slow courier model.

  • Once our delivery van reaches your chosen Pickup Point, you will receive a WhatsApp/SMS Alert.
  • Customers are expected to collect their vacuum-sealed parcels within 30-45 minutes of the arrival notification to ensure maximum freshness.

4. Shipping (Delivery) Charges

  • Pickup Points: We charge a nominal flat delivery fee of ₹30 per order to cover the temperature-controlled transport from the coast.
  • Home Delivery: If available in your pin code, home delivery may carry a premium charge of ₹80.

5. Packaging & Cold Chain

  • All products are Vacuum Packed and transported in Insulated Crates with food-grade gel pads or ice.
  • Our packaging is leak-proof and odor-free, making it safe for you to transport in your personal vehicle from the pickup point.

6. Order Tracking

Since we use our own local transport fleet, traditional tracking numbers are not provided. Instead:

  1. You receive an Order Confirmation immediately.
  2. You receive a “Dispatch” alert when the van leaves Nagapattinam.
  3. You receive a “Ready for Pickup” alert when the van reaches your location.

7. Unclaimed Orders

Since seafood is perishable, if an order is not collected from the pickup point during the designated window, it cannot be returned to the harbor. Unclaimed orders will not be eligible for a refund
